I guess your situation was slightly complex, same day would not have been an option for you.

I am Week 11.5 and still waiting, I applied 10th August 2009. But it seems that they Contacted you after 14 weeks so I guess I should expect to hear something back around the same time. I e-mailed my Interviewing Officer *as I actually went in for same day service, but further authorisation and query was rquired* and see gave me the Up to 15 wks waiting process and authorisation, so I guess it is what has happened to you. So the only reason why it took Almost 4months was because of the information request and exchanges when they finally reviewed you application.

So i must say it sheds some more light on the 10 yr rule. I always look forward to the 10 yr rule feed back because most of the SET 0 Applications on here are Usually work permit/HSMP applications and as requirements are different, their experience is not relly application for those of us applying on the 10 yr residency route...

I applied ILR based onthe 10 years long residence too. I only enclosed the following two documents - nothing more. Are those documents (e.g. bank statements, school letters, GP visits) necessary? I don't think they are listed in the guide... I assume they are only for people who has lost their passports?

*Life in the UK test pass letter
*3 passports, which cover 10 years residence.

When I went in person all i handed in was my 2 Passports to cover the 10yrs I am claiming, 2 passport photos and Life in the UK Test Certificate.

I think cos he lost his passport he has to provide other evidence that he was present in the UK over the periods covered by his lost passport.

Ack letter received 18th September
Payment gone through 18th September

Came across this site today (great by the way) and started to panic about my visa as I'm suppose to be going OS in 3 weeks today. Came home an have found a "Sorry, you were out" Royal Mail letter today saying I have something to sign for! Hopefully it is our visa! Fingers crossed.

ILR (JR-SET(O) - with 1 dependent) stampted 28/10/09 and received via post on 29/10/09. (with a latter confirming its vaild from 30/09/09 - which is completion date/4 years)

Applied: 7th Sepetember 09

Approx: 8 - 9 Weeks for ILR JR

(application submitted to Corydon address, Received from Sheffield office)

riss10 : There is little difference between 7th & 16th

I application has been held in the HO for 14 weeks. I called the HO this morning and was tald my application had not been decided. No more information was provided.

Did you at least ask of you had been assigned a case worker or how far along the queue you were?

I hope I dont have the same kind of response when I call to find out information on my application, so you wait 14 wks and all they can tell you is that application has not been decided!! what is that anyways? does it mean that its been assigned a caseworker and they so confused with you application that they havent made a decision. I think that person you spoke to didnt bother looking up your application!

Like we have waited 10yrs to make an application, why wld they decide to keep us waiting?? So annoying!!

Well, I did ask if someone had looked into my case. The answer was yes. When I tried to ask more, he said he's not a case worker and therefore he didn't know. What he could see is the information in the database and therefore he couldn't provide anything more.

The rules are not designed by us and the money was paid up-front. What else can we do?

Hey everyone! congrats to all the ppl who has recieved their ILR. Well, i applied for ILR on the grounds that ive been in the Uk since the age of nine, and now im nearly 21 years of age (in 2 weeks time), i sent all the supporting evidence of all my studies in the uk, and proof that ive been here continuously; i made my application through using legal aid, as my aunt is a British citizen. I made my application over 2 and a half years ago, which was march 07, and on the 2nd of qctober i recieved a method of entry questionnaire from the Home Office (Liverpool), i asked my solicitor what this means, and she said it means they are actively looking at my case now. I just want to know if anyone has recieved this or something similar, and how long did it take to get your ILR. Thanks in advance.

All up 5 1/2 weeks! Must be some kind of record on here i think!

We did put a little note asking for it back by the first week of November so it must have done the trick!

Also they have written I'll be getting FLR extension refund which I am not eligible for...

I dont think I'm going to bother calling again when after 18 weeks of waiting all they continue to tell me is "Wait till the UKBA contact you. I'm sorry there's not much else we can tell you."

Cami, I am a little confused. Are you saying you applied 2.5 years ago and you are still waiting? Didn't you make a complain on your case?

No. SET(M) after 2yrs on a spouse visa. Previously on a work permit before I got married.
