I am actually living in the UK and applying for the post-study work visa, my question is

"Is it possible to show the maintenance funds i.e £800 from my home country bank account or I am obliged to show the funds from a UK bank account?"

1. U can use the overseas account if its under u name.

Hi,

You can show bank balance in any bank anywhere in the world but the requirement of funds is NOT £800 if you apply OUTSIDE the UK. Please check the UKBA website for all the latest information.

Did you applied to extension, as I also included my home country account for maintenance funds, waiting for the approval now.
