I'm contacting a lawyer in the USA who deals with uk immigration law only, and nothing else. My fiance is also getting a call back on monday from an immigration advisor at workpermit.com (this site) He phoned the number at the top left corner on this page, london office... I'm waiting to get this confirmed 100%Pyretta wrote:My fiancee in the UK (I'm in the US) contacted someone there who told him I should fill out the marriage visitor VAF1F application. However, I plan to stay in the UK after our marriage. The marriage visitor one was denied for a couple of reasons, which we are preparing to address and provide better documentation for. One of the reasons was because this visa was only good for 6 months, yet he had been told that I should apply for the marriage visitor visa then apply to extend it once I was in the UK and we were married.
Before I reapply for the visitor visa, I need to know if it's even the correct one. Or should I be applying for the VAF4A instead?
oh i totally missed that!! thank you ! i see it now..im copying and pasting it to my lawyer, its plain and clear - i wonder what the odds of getting my money back arebatleykhan wrote:Ladies if you go to the link I have posted above, it clearly states that you need form VAF4A.This form is used by spouses, fiancees or civil partners.
