Rights to work

Hello,

I am a new member here, and will apply my first post.

My question is regarding working rights.

I am a US citizen living in France. I hold the "titre de sejour". I have worked in France for 2 employers already, but now I may have the opportunity to work for another company from the Netherlands, but based from France.

My question is, do I have the right to work in any other EU country by holding a french "titre de sejour"? And if so, how does the taxing work?

As far as I am aware the answer is no. You would generally need a visa/permit from the country concerned.

If you become a French citizen, the 'no' becomes 'yes'.

No, you cannot work in Netherlands without getting a Netherlands work permit.

If you are not a CITIZEN of an EU country you do not have freedom of employment in any other country in the EU. Whilst in practice there are no border controls preventing you from living in the other EU countries, you will not actually be allowed to do so.

Of course you can work for the Dutch company in France... (assuming your existing titre de sejour allows you to work... which I guess it does from your question)

Ok, if I understand right.

I am not allowed to work in any other EU country except for France, where i have my work permit. It is not allowed, until i become a citizen.

Here is the other question. The company based in the Netherlands, but I would be working in France....for them. Is this possible? I am not sure, but I think they would have to have presence in France.

I don't know, but I guess I will find out soon.
