Hi all that is reading,
I came in the uk when i was 10 and i was suppose to stay only for 6 month (so my mom tells me) and now i have been here ever since. Now that am 21 and don't even know what to do and i have no rights of employment all i do is go college or do an apprenticeship just to earn some money.
Oh yeah i cannot go back as i have no family up there as far as i know, the only family o know is my mom and sister so i would be lost if i go back. I'm from zimbabwe incase you wondering.
I am currently being treated with brain hermorage (think i spelt that wrong) and am trying use that as an advantage but hope it is lol,.
i have level 2 & 3 NVQ and GCSE also but at the moment they a bit useless because i cannot use them for anything.
Is there a way for me to apply to stay rather than applying for asylum seeking?
PLEASE HELP?
(p.s also engaged nothing to do with stay here nothing but love baby 3years we been together)

go and see a solicitor if you cant afford one go to the citizen advice bureau. the only other advice i can give you is to try to read up on marriage on this forum there are some helpful stuff and see where that takes you. good luck

Your medical condition does not "help" your application (or hinder it). Either you meet the specific conditions for ILR in which case they give it to you ... or you don't.
There may be other routes to you getting ILR but the simplest may be to wait till you are 24 and then apply under the 14 year rule where you can get ILR with a total of 14 years of (legal + illegal) stay. Just keep your nose clean and don't even get into trouble with the law for the next three years.
When your child is seven years old there's another route but the 14 year route seems quicker in your particular case.
There is also the marriage route but it will involve you returning to your home country and applying from there - not an option that you may find appealing.

You could try applying for discretionary leave, outlining situation. You would be basically applying outside the Immigration rules using FLR (O). But you really need a solicitor for that.
You could get married and applying for spouse visa. But I would do both get apply for FLR (O) and get married. No shame in edging your bet's.
It might be worth finding out what the HO stance is on Zimbawe nationals due to your political climate.

Be warned though that if you lose your application for discretionary leave then the clock is reset on your 14 year stay and you can't apply for that. You will also have to go back if you aren't successful with the discretionary leave.
You are almost certain to get ILR under 14 years so I'd go for that option even though it will take a bit longer.
