Income for ILR application- help please!

Post by indukjinda » Wed Oct 28, 2009 11:08 pm

Dear All,

I am new to this forum and would be grateful if anybody can kindly help please.

I am eligible to apply for my ILR (4yr WP + 1yr Tier 1 (general) migrant visa). Unfortunately, my contract with my employer did not get extended further and at the moment working on a lower income salary, but actively job seeking. My question is, will it affect my ILR application if I have a low income salary? Is there a minimum income amount to show for ILR application? Please help!

Many thanks,
Indukjinda

Hi Sushil-ACCA,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry, for the delay in thanking you for your reply.
I am glad to hear that there is no such requirement. However, I thought I will present my entire details to you can advice me if there is a problem.

As mentioned earlier I worked 4yr on WP + 1yr Tier1 migrant. I have P60s, Pay Slips and Bank statements for the entire 4yr from with an employer on work permit (£25,000PA), unfortunately the contract with my employer did not extend and I applied for Tier-1 visa which I was given till 2011.
Because of the recession I am finding it difficult to find a good job, but I've been economically active- working, and still am, part time earning ~£800 a month. I have P60 and Weekly payslips (not all, a couple of them missing?) from this job. I get paid in cash!! and my salary is not transfered to my bank.
My questions are- will it affect my ILR application if I am on a lower income group? Will it be a problem not to have my salary transfered to my bank account? I have a good bank balance to sustain myself and have not used public funds.

I would be grateful if you could please advice me and guide in the right direction.

Many thanks,
Indukjinda

IF some loose job or low income from emply than they should either open a comapny or self employed and get documents from accnt for ILR PURPOSE

there is no such rule but it is better presentation in overcounter case

no such thing is required if u r applying by post but again it give a better presentation in covering letter that i am attaching my acctns docemnents
