PSW - PAYMENT USING SOMEONE ELSE CHEQUE

HI
i have just made an application last week for a PSW visa. but as i didint have a cheque book. i asked my partner to write one for me.. using his cheque book.
would you please advise whether this is acceptable or should expect things to go wrong?
