Temporary accomodation

Post by kssantosh » Thu Nov 12, 2009 9:08 am

A quick question. When i originally landed in the UK, I had lived in company provided temporary accomodation for the first 6 weeks. I do not have any proof of address for this.

Do you think they might ask for proof of address during the naturalization stage or during the passport application stage as they would not see any linked accounts for this address in my credit file or voter register etc. Do you think making a mention in the application form against this address as temporary accomodation help.

It would be great if someone could answer at the earliest as i am due to apply for naturalisation in couple of days from now.

Thanks in advance fo your help.

You don't need to show the 6 weeks temporary accomodation if you have nothing registered there. In fact, if you did include it and were then asked to submit proof of living at this address you would be unable to do so, which would further complicate matters. This is occasionally asked for when applying for a passport.
