Waiting Time for LTR to process under tier 2

Post by djon » Sat Nov 14, 2009 12:17 am

Hi
I would like to know if anyone knows what is the waiting time for the process of Limited Leave to remain under tier 2 application.
I have sent my application 6 weeks ago and still waiting on a reply.
I have done exactly as it says in the guidance and I believe my application is a straight forward one, have scored pretty high on the Point Based system too. As I am currently on a work permit (expires in a year) have been offered a better job with an improved salary in the same field at a different NHS trust, have got the COS and I believe i have met all the criteria as per their guidelines, and my application should have been processed according to the Uk border website within 4 weeks, have even faxed a letter to them but without much luck.
I am concerned now as i am running the risk of losing this job due to delays?

If your new job is starting soon and if its really critical for you to get the visa soon, then you can ask your NHS trust to call the employers helpline and try to speed up the process. This is very much possible and it is mentioned somehwere on the UKBA website.

I have sent my application 5 weeks ago and I am still waiting!! This is my second application. When I applied first time I got it back in 4 weeks, obviosuly it was rejected first time for some reason. However I start my new job in January, so I think I thave some more time before I need to start to panic!

Good Luck

Hi,

Just to let you know, I got my passport back yesterday and finally my Tier 2 visa is approved!! No, fortunately I dint have to pay, my employer paid for it both times..

Actually checking the dates now, mine took exactly 4 weeks, we sent it on 20th Oct and I got it yesterday, 16th Nov.

Hope you get yours soon too..

Cheers.
