Funds for 3 months for PSW is 800 or 2800 within uk

Post by rakeshyadavfmcg » Sat Nov 21, 2009 9:22 am

Hello everybody

I am confused about the amount funds that I have to show for 3 months for PSW when I am applying from UK, is it 800 or 2800.

Some are saying from rules have changed and funds should be 2800 per month for 3 months even for applying from UK.

Can anybody give the exact amount. is there any posssibility of increasing this fund eligibility by august 2010, I would be applying in August of 2010.

Thanks & Regards

Why would you not refer to official sources?
See this link, it helps you to answer your question yourself. (especially the para below "What the documents must show")

Nobody can answer the above question with certainity unless they are highly placed at Home Office.
My 2cents: UK General Elections would be held in Jun'2010 and current govt. is unlikely to win, which means, the opposition (the conservatives) are likely to bring major changes in immigration. But I'm not sure if they will be able to do that within 2months of taking over the office. To be on a safe side, it is better to apply as soon as possible on this side of the elections.

Hi DSK12

Many thanks for the information and suggestion, it really cleared my doubt and would apply once I receive official cirtificate of completion from University.

Sorry to bother you again, the information in the url that you sent doesnt specify the location of bank account. My doubt is whether I have to show only in UK bank account or else will it be alright if I show it from home country account and currency.

Once again thanks.

Regards
