Which way is better?

Post by majic » Wed Dec 07, 2005 11:33 am

Dear All,

Since I have got my HSMP alot of my freinds come to me for advice. Similar is the case here.

"A friend of mine has 4 Years of expierence two Years at one company and two years with another. The First half of his work doesnt seem convienceing but second half is. Now my question is:

Is it better to clain 35 pint and see if the case worker agrees with us or simple clain 25 points point for 2 Years of Experience as 25 points are enough for him to get through??"

Will the case worker give him 25 point instead of 35 if he/she is not convienced with 4 Years of expience for 2 Years or will he get a 0 ?

Suggest to claim 25points and not the 35. If your friend can provide evidence/demonstrate that it is a specialist role then he can claim 35pts otherwise - its better to claim 25.

Claim points only where you can substantiate with appropriate evidence.

I certainly agree with Kayalami. On my first application I made the mistake of claiming points for Specialist/Senior position, it was refused, so i sent a second one only claiming the points for graduate level work experience. And it was approved!
