Desperately waiting for passport!!!

Post by mizHB » Tue Dec 01, 2009 9:17 pm

Hi y'all

Just wanted to know if anybody has applied on or before the 9th of November and have gotten their passport back?!? I am just hoping it will get back soon as I really do not want to spend the Holidays here, booked a refundable ticket back home for the 24th December...

I read so many horrible stories of people waiting for months, surely if you've provided all the required docs (especially the 800£ at all times), they should be fairly quick?? My only concern is that I have not provided an original copy of my Masters degree, as I am only graduating next week...But have provided a letter from Uni confirming this. Do you guys think they will wait till I get my degree before asking me to send it as well, and thus slow down the whole process????? So stressed :(

Everybody wants to get their visas quickly, not just you, and everybody wants to go away on holidays, and to have their visas considered within 2 weeks or so. But it is not always the case.

My advice for you would be - try to be patient. 2 weeks have now passed since you submitted your aplication, not a long ago really. You may need to wait for another 2 weeks or so before you know the outcome. If you are confident you fulfill all the critieria for psw, you should keep calm and optimistic, instead of keeping to worry about it. The letter from Uni is fine and the HO shouldn't request any further info from you. All the best.
