Tier 2 dependant visa - without accomodation proof

Post by missri » Thu Dec 03, 2009 7:29 pm

Hello! I am new to this forum although I've reading it for quite some time.
I have recently got Tier 2 general migrant visa. However, I made a silly mistake that I didn't apply for my wife and daughter dependant visa. I have not traveled to UK yet and not started my job.

Is it possible to apply for my wife and daughter visa with the same documents (with new bank statement for maintenance funds) which i used for my application?

Can I get a letter from my A rated sponsor for accomodation? or I need to go to UK and get a proof of accomodation for my family?

Waiting for guidance/suggesions.

Ok! let me put it another way. I didn't made a combined application for my family along with my initial application. In the initial application no proof of residence was required. I only submitted letter from my sponsor stating that he'll maintain and accomodate me for the first month.

As I haven't yet traveled to UK, I do not have a proof of accomodation in UK but I want to apply for my family's visa earlier. Is it possible?

Waiting for response??

I think now since you are planing to apply for your spouse and kid..

1. you have to make sure you show enough funds for the Maintenance FUnds points...

2. If you can get a letter from you A Rated sponser that they can accomodate you and your family then i think you are fine as per the accomodation proof requirement..

Thank you for your advice.

So, I can submit my family's application before leaving for UK??

Please check if the following documents would work,

1. Proof of relationship (Marriage certificate, Name of spouse on Passport and birth certificate of my daughter)

2. Maintenance Fund (Approx 2500 for my wife and daughter; though balance was around 1200 at one time during the last three month but now I have 2500 - I know the requirement is 1066 for both).

3. I can get a letter from my sponsor about accomodation/Maintenance as well.

4. TB certificate for my wife

5. Copy of my passport and visa (but as I haven't traveled to UK yet it does not contain entry stamp for UK).

Is it ok? Please guide..

Thanks again.

The maintenance funds for the family would be 800 + 533 +533 = 1866.

But as I have already got visa on sponsor's letter. Do I still need to show funds for myself as well.
I have 2500 at the moment in account; I can add another 1000 in it. But probably that would not fulfil the requirement for having funds for last 3 months.

In that case I am afraid I may have to get a letter from sponsor regarding maintenance and accomodation??
