Require Extension

Post by AzimScot » Fri Dec 04, 2009 11:15 am

Hi,

My sister in law had a visa appeal allowed in July 2009 although its now Dec 2009 and 6 months later and her passport still hasn't been stamped and given back to her. I don't know why it has taken this long, but when she reaches her qualifying period in the UK which i believe is 24 months will she have to apply for an extension to her current visa? As it has taken 6-9 months for her passport to be stamped by the British embassy and given back to her?

Also, what's the cost to extend your spouse visa?

Thanks.

Cost of applying.

Hopefully, they will grant her a suitable effective date.

will the home office take the date which is stamped on her visa when she can come to the UK or the date her appeal was successful? Will they flag up why it took 9 months from the appeal date to come to the UK?

Thanks
