Hi

I am looking for legal information in which it says that EU fam 4 when came back to ireland on any port with his/her half then immigration should not stamp their passport.

Any non Eu national passport should not stamped . I am planing to go abroad with my wife this weekend ..

Please pardon my ignorance but could someone explain what difference it makes to have passport stamped? I thought more the stamps on your passport less the hassle you get next time entry(I experienced it my self...my non Irish passport was all green (back in the days) and IO officer many times just flip through it and cleared me quickly). Am I missing something?

its a fair question, I'll have a go at an answer. Maybe my answer is not perfect.

Firstly, its the written Law.
[b]Irish Law SI656 of 2006 Regulation 4(4)[/b] wrote: (4) An immigration officer shall not, at the point of entry, place a stamp in the passport of a

Why is it the written law for EU family members, with 4EUFam card?
So they are treated as equal to their EU family member.

Why EU citizen don't have their passport stamped ?
So they are not treated as alien within the EU.
