Croydon PEO- Processing time

Post by SSUK » Sun Dec 18, 2005 3:48 pm

Hi,

Greetings to all.
I have taken an appointment @ PEO for FLR on WP Transfer, would really appreciate if somebody could tell me about, how long does it take for all processing ?

If my appointment is at 2 Pm,apporx. when can i assume i would be able to come out of PEO,as i have to travel outside London.

Thanks.

The idea at a PEO is that they deal with applications on a same-day basis .... assuming that all the required supporting evidence is presented with the application form.

However, by definition, a PEO cannot guarantee that all applications will be dealt with on a "while you wait" basis, if only because some applicants do not actually bring along all the evidence that is required in support of the application.

So the rule should be ... if attending a PEO it is best to take too much evidence with you rather than too little. That is, if you think that there is the slightest chance that something might be required then take it along with you! Far better to have it with you and not be needed .... rather than the application is deferred because more evidence is needed.

The evidence to take along? That will vary considerably dependent upon the application to be made. The application form being used will contain guidance.

As John mentioned, as long as the IO is satified that all your documentation is presented and is happy with it (and your case is not a complex one), it should be a same day service. How long is Same day service I hear you ask, well, in my case it was less than about an hour, however some people have been told to come back after a few hours or after a specific time. Either way the IO dealing with your case should tell you there and then if you'll get your visa that same day or if it will take longer.

SSUK,

Allow 4 hours as the extreme.
