Homoeopathy considered as G.P in UK??

Homoeopathy considered as G.P in UK??

Hello,

My wife is Homoeopathic doctor ..Can she qualify as HSMP priority Appn. for G.P??

I looked at differnt websites
e.g http://www.homoeopathyuk.org/nhs.html , but not sure if HSMP will accept it as G.P or not??

Hi,

I suppose she is graduate, right? Can she prove the required years of experience? If so, I don't think it would be a problem... As far as I know, there isnt a list of clalifying job titles. If she reaches the pass mark and has enough evidence to prove her claims, she should be ok.

At least that's my opinion...

Hi,

I don't think she requires to fulfill 65 points requirement..

it's a "special category "for General Practitioners ..But i am not sure if Homoepathy is considers in it..

Moderators, can you please help...I searched the whole forum but couldn't find answre to this query..

You are right, there is also a special category for General Practitioners. But I am uncertain if a Homeopathic practitioner qualifies for this category.

You may want to check the requirements yourself, this is the link for the caseworkers guidance, check the "Priority Applications for GP's" section.

No. Nice try but GP is as per the UK's General Medical Council definition of such.
