Im disabled and have some questions...

I currently live in michigan, usa. I am physicly disabled and will be in a wheel chair soon. I would like to move to the UK with my wife and two children, currently ages 1 and 3 years old. I am 21 and my wife is 20. We have no relitives from the uk. Is there any type of visa or citizenship that i can obtain to beable to move to the uk. Im kind of new to this, have lived in the same place all my life

I dont know if there are special requirements to work in the uk but i can not work due to my disability but my wife currently has a job here in the US doing care for elderly and disabled people

Slightly better climate, have heard of nicer people and better culture. Also i feel like it would be a better place for my children to grow up. Plus my wife is currently learning grelic.

I have the same opinion on people who want to move here too. Why would anyone want to move to a bankrupt country? To a country whose government doesn't even know what the current population is because they have no control over immigration?

The usa is more bankrupt by far, mexicans joining our country every day stealing our jobs, people daily getting shot or stabed. Uk money is worth more than american, and this so called land of the free is nothing more than the name they have put upon this jail cell we call america.

You have Mexicans we have the rest of Europe, particularly Eastern Europeans. You not seen on the news the gun and knife crime problem in the UK? It's not much better than America in that regard. The pound might be stronger than the dollar but that doesn't necessarily translate into it being worth more. A job here might pay Â£20k yet the same job in America might pay $40k.

Either way unless you or your partner become qualifed and gain experience in a skill that is needed in the UK you're going to be stuck in the States.

Unless someone in your family has another EU citizenship the possible routes are Tier 2 skilled worker (a job offer is needed) or student (lots of cash for maintenance and the course needed)

Funny about your reaction to "stealing jobs" is to, well "steal a job" by becoming an immigrant yourself.

I hope you have spent time in the UK already so you have at least some idea about what would be involved. If not perhaps now is the time for a visit.

You need to realise that unless you have skills needed in the UK or the experience then you won't be coming to the UK.

I have no intentions of living in the US. Want to know why? Because of the guns? No. It's because of people like you who whinge and bitch because you think you should get everything your own way because you're an American. Wake up and join the real world.

For your information, i also don't own a donkey and have no fixation about putting sticks into them either. That's a rather odd fruit you've got there.

If you want to leave then see what you need to go where you want. If you don't meet the requirements then do something so that you do.

If it was a free for all then you'd have about 95% of the world's population squeezed into the US, UK, Canada, Australia, NZ and Western Europe.

To the OP, I'm an American living in England (2 years now) and to me they are quite similar once the novelty of being in a new place wears off. Out of curiousity which state do you currently live in?
