British passport for child born in india? parents with ILR

British passport for child born in india? parents with ILR

hi, i have ILR and the child is due to be born in india. i am currently out of UK and working in the EU. I plan to return UK soon, mean while when the child is born in India. Is there a possibility that i can make application for british passport for the child?. if not will i be able to get ILR for the new born though i am currently not in the UK but intend get back to UK soon?

No, as child is not British.

When you are back in the UK with ILR, then your child may apply for a child settlement visa.
