Hi everyone, i have recently posted my PSW application to the home office but i have a question, has anyone ever encountered a case whereby the name on the passport is spelt differently on the certificate and they still got the visa?

Hmm! Serious mistake, why didn't you correct it before the issued your degree certificate, try to talk to your university and see if they can correct it while you wait to hear from HO, so that if they do refuse, then you can present the letter in appeal and argue that it is a tipo error.

They are very strict, they hardly ignore little mistakes, but again it depends on how hard the misspelling shows, if its omission of letters, or miss positioning of letters.

The question is Why it happened in the first place.... could u pls pin point the mistake????
