is EEA2 outcome limited to validity of passport ?

Hi ya guys,

If your pass. expires in 2014 and you apply for EEA2 in 2010, will HO stamp it for 4 years or 5 years ?

-Or simply do you extend your passport if there are available pages?if not
-Renew passport and have the resident card transfered to your new one?

RC will be for 5 years. Renew your passport when expired and carry both when travelling
