Husband applying for ILR - Wife EU Citizen

Dear all,

we have the following situation at home:

My husband is in process of applying for ILR via his HSMP status. I am his wife and a EU citizen.

I asked him to clarify is status in his application as "married" and take my documents (Passport copy and approved marriage certificate) along with him to the solicitor, who will be processing his application.

He is refusing to do so and tells me that this wont cause any problem in future for us.

We are also expecting our baby. I am worried if he does not mention that we are married in his ILR application NOW that he/us will get into trouble in future when he applies for his passport.

Please help as I am not aware of all pitholes in the english legislation.

why does he not want to say he is married? I cant see how this will affect his application negatively. Also all he needs to do is to tick married and thats it he doesnt need to supply any further information
