Identity card (Foreign nationals) -how is the name displayed

Post by psyche » Mon Jan 25, 2010 3:18 pm

Hi,

Could anyone who has one of these cards tell me how the name is displayed please? Reason I am asking is because my wife is from South East Asia and in her passport her surname is displayed first followed by first name(s) like this:

Surname First name Middle name(s)

On her FLR application form we filled in her name as on her passport (which it states we should do), and then her surname again in a seperate box. I'm just a bit worried that the names may get mixed up or swapped around on the ID card (which we are waiting to arrive).

Thanks.
