job title as per code of practice (explanation)

Post by gucci » Tue Jan 26, 2010 11:11 pm

Hi all,

Can anyone please help me regarding following query?

1: Either Job title wording must be exactly the same as mentioned in code of practice or it could be slight different (more detailed)?

2: In my case, job title is (according to code of practice) HEAD PATTERN GRADER, but my actual title will be CAD HEAD PATTERN GRADER, because I will do the same job on CAD computerised system. (which is more skilled)

3: Can my employer issue me COS as CAD HEAD PATTERN GRADER? or he has to issue accoridng to code of practice as HEAD PATTERN GRADER? problem is that he has already publish the job vacancy as CAD HEAD PATTERN GRADER for RLMT.

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. The code shud be used according to the CODE OF PRACTICE LIST.
2. If you look at the list then u will see that next to the main heading there is another column which expain that the same job might have different titles as well but the code wud be the same.
3. If there is any more confusion then u shud ask u employer to contact HO as its on the UKBA web site that if employer needs any help then they shud conatct HO.
4. The other thing is that if u job description matches with the CODE OF PRACTICE LIST then u shud be fine.

Thanks Ash

My job description will be exactly the same as per Code of practice, but only difference is that I will be doing exactly the same job on (CAD) computerized system instead of manually, my job will be more skilled then the actual code of practice.
