Dependent Application

Hi everyone,

Please could someone advise me on the minimum funds one needs to have or show to apply for my my wife's dependent visa and for how long should i have it there? A bit of background. I am presently applying for PSW visa in UKand i am yet to recive it yet, but should do as thanks to all your different contributions on this forum i have gained alot. My wife is presently in Nigeria and hopes to apply form there I have presently fulfilled the initial 800 pounds for my funds and i am made to understand that i have to have an additional 530 pounds for three months along with my 800, because i ahve stayed in the UK for more than 12 months.

Also other docs that are advisable that she submits along with her application - photocopy of my passport, PSW visa ( when i get it), evidence of accomodation (accomodation suitability from council????), evidenc of job, marriage certificate, invitation letter from me, pictures of us???? (together before and at our wedding).

Any form of advise would be very appreciated people. Thanks once again.

Thanks very much for the response. I have and i still am going through that thread, as there is alot of info there. I however have not come across a sample sponsor letter, what would the contents of the letter be,or can anyone send me a sample sponsor letter - forbiddenfruit@live.co.uk.

1. There is no specific format as u just need to write a letter saying that u wish u sponsor u wife and u will be responsible for her stay in the UK. Also include her passport details and documents u send from the UK.
