Inadmissability and rehabilitation

I am criminally admissable to canada for drink driving offences and not able to apply for rehabilitation untill may 2011. I did not realise this was an issue when I first visited canada in 2008 but have since re-entered as a visitor for 6 month periods as they never ask me if I have a criminal record. When my boyfriend and I apply for sponsorship next year (when i'm eligable to apply for rehabilitation) will my entering canada previously affect our application?
