"If the main applicant has been in the UK for over 12 months, you must have £533 available per dependant. If the main applicant has been in the UK less than 12 months, each dependant must have £1,600 available. All funds must have been at that level or more for the last three months.

You seem to be correct. I would appeal this as it seems to be a mistake by the case worker. This is assuming that you have had 12 months un-interuppted stay here in the UK?

psw dependent visa

Post by zghani10 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 4:41 pm

hi kolaxy
i think u have been misguided. According to Home office if u r living in UK for more than 12 months than u shud show £533 of ur dependent and £800 for urself . So u have to show total of £800 + £533 in ur bank for atleast 3 months...coz the money u showed doesnt justify for 2 persons. U know where m coming from.
So u need to re-apply for this Visa.
my wife applied for PSW (dependent) visa from pakistan 2 weeks ago. I am living in Uk for 3 years now. I showed £4500 for 3 months.
Can u plz tell me that did u attach ur full tenancy agreement with the application?? and is it neccesary for letter from landlord or someone??
plz reply

Hi everyone. I'm happy to inform you that the British High Commission in my country rang my wife some days ago asking her to bring her passport and her PSW Dependant Visa was issued instantly. This was coming about 6 weeks after she was initially denied based on 533 pounds maintenance fund. I don't know what the right maintenance fund for dependants is right now as i'm confused. All I know now is that, my wife's visa has been granted and I give God all the glory. Thanks everyone for your advice and support especially the senior members in the house.
