Does Irish resident card visa free England?

Does Irish resident card visa free England?

Do I need a visa to visit England if I have a resident card for EU family member in Republic of Ireland(Dublin).
Also if i want to work in England would i need a work permit?

This is question is from a friend.
pls any advise will help.

Under EC law, providing the non-EU national family member is travelling in the company of, or to join, his EU national family member, possession of the Stamp 4 EUFAM Residence Card from Ireland exempts the holder of the visa requirement. The UK does not always agree with this. However, in practice, there is no border control on passengers landing in the UK from Ireland anyway.

If the non-EU national family member is not travelling in the company of, or to join, his EU national family member, he is subject to the visa requirement and EC law does not apply.

Yes, unless resident in the UK in accordance with the provisions of Directive 2004/38/EC.

what are the documents required for EU citizen and her non EU spouse to move to Ireland and live there.
what steps needs to be followed.
pls help.

Look up EU FAMILY PERMITS on the UKBA website! All the info you need is there!
