refrees

Post by citizen1000 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 8:03 pm

Hi there
I am applying for British citizenship ( HSMP+ ILR). I am a doctor.
Both of my refrees or British doctors who worked with me. They know me for more than three years.
The guidance say that the refrees should know the applicant < Personaly> for three year.
but in the refrees section where it says how do you know the aplicant ? both my refrees have written ( WORKED WITH HIM PROFESSIONALY AS A DOCTOR)
do you thinks the word professionaly will have any impact? because indirectly professionaly mean not personay , is,nt it?
or do you thinks it will be fine
any ideas?

Thanks

To me "personally" means face to face on a regular basis as opposed to every now and then in business meetings (i.e. sales pitches, etc.).

Maybe "personnaly" means as a person? Knowing and appreciating your traits as opposed to a business object "somebody" you can sell things to and get business from.

Haven't come accross UKBA definition of "personally".

You may want to clarify this with UKBA. Let us know your findings.

I think you are ok with that. As the above reply said, it means they know you from regular contact, not just having met you few times.

And not from merely telephone or other non-face-to-face contact. I think you will be fine with that.
