Few Question -UK Tier 1 General Visa Filing

Post by vishal07 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 8:51 pm

Hi all,

I want to apply for HSMP visa, and I need your expert comments here
Let me provide you brief details (regarding HSMP Point calculation)
• D.O. B : 10/03/1981( 28 years and 5 months)
• Current package : 28500 Euro per annum
• Masters Degree : master degree (masters in computer application 2004 pass out – 3 year degree ) , India
• Bachelor degree : Bsc (statistic and computer science 2001 pass out - 3 year degree ), India
• English language Eligibility : bachelor degree (3 years ) taught in English , having certificate from university

I have 2800 GBP in my bank account from last 3 Months

I checked in HSMP Point calculator and eligible for HSPM tier 1 visa.

I want to apply myself and here I need your help guys,
If in this forum anybody applied for himself, can you please help me, I want to know what else documentation I need.

Do I need any certificate from any third party authority for my academic documents verification, to verify my bachelor and master degree is equivalent with British degree.

Do certificate from University (where I did my bachelor degree) is good enough to satisfy my English language eligibility.

What is the process to apply by myself (without any immigration agent), do I have to go UK embassy personally to apply.

Document filling method (In want sequence document should be arrange, do I need to provide document listing all supporting document that I am going to provide for each claim of my points etc).

For dependent, I do not have money in my saving account, but I have fixed deposit on her account .does it helps to apply for dependent. Or if not, can I apply for her once I get the approval from Immigration department...Till that I will be having that amount (1800 GBP for dependent in my saving account)??

Apart from above queries if you any other thing that I should take care before applying, please let me know that also..That will be big help for me.

Thanks and Regards
Vishal

HSMP scheme ended in 2008, so you can only apply for Tier 1 (General) scheme.

I guess, barring a few, almost everyone in this forum has applied for Tier 1 (General) on his/her own. It is not rocket science. All one needs to do is to make an effort and read the guidance carefully. If after that, you still specific queries / something you are uncertain about, use search to look for information already available on the forum. And if you are still unsure of something, post it on the forum and you will get your answers!

To start with, read Tier 1 (General) policy guidance *carefully* to understand the documentary evidences required. You'll find answers to most of your questions above in the policy guidance itself.

You can apply for dependent after receiving your own Tier 1 (general) visa, so that is not an issue. See Points based system dependents - policy guidance for detailed information regarding dependent applications.

Where will you be applying from? UK or outside?

regards

Vishal..

Thats not a bad start..

But as suggested please read Tier 1 (General) policy guidance 2-3times and understand it completely..

Try to concentrate or re-read on points like

Earnings Points & proof required
Educational Points & proof required
Maintenance funds & proof required etc..
English points & proof required etc..

n get back with questions..
