Czech republic and non EEA

Post by knapps » Mon Feb 22, 2010 5:16 pm

Hello,
I am a non EEA and my wife is from Czech Republic. We both work and live in Ireland for 6 years married 4 years. I am under naturalization at the moment and have eufam card. I need to know can i go to czech republic permanently and can apply for passport after 1 year or i have to start czech process again for whatever years they have before granting me nationality.

Please let me know if anyone knows the system.

regards

I don't understand if you are talking about Czech citizenship or Irish but if Czech, then you need to remember that you must speak their language and they don't allow dual citizenship either.

Not sure how many years you have to live there but they obviously won't dole out the passport to you just because you are married to a Czech citizen.

You dont understand my question...for your info I do speak Czech as i learnt it for 3 years. perhaps i make is simpler in English.

I have lived in Ireland for under eufam for 4 years and can apply after one year for citizenship.

My wife is very sick and needs total care and hospitals are not very good in Ireland so she is under treatment in Czech for 3 months and we are thinking to move there so she can be taken care off by czech doctors and hospitals.

Now, here is my question. If i go to live in Czech can my 4 years in Ireland being married be relevant in Czech or I have to start their process of 5 years or more or less again.

Pakhtoon if you dont know about czech immigration system them please do not answer. no offense.

Nobody in here is an immigration officer or something. I shared what I knew as one of the guys I know is married to a Czech girl ( they live in Dubai though ).

Anyway you have had your information, not as easy as you think.
