PSW waiting time Period ?

Hi all,
Just a quick question.
1 . What is the current waiting time period for PSW application ?
and second question.
2. I heard that some new law would be introduced to stop PSW is it true ? any body heard some thing like that ?

Currently they are considering applications that were received on or before 24th January 2010, so the waiting period now seems to be from four to five weeks. (http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... tingtimes/)

I haven't heard anything about them getting rid of the PSW, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they did.
