1 thing to remember people is that Gerrys dont give accurate information. They only give an estimate. I called Gerrys many times, they always told me that our passport was in process, the next we got a phone call from Mirpur Gerrys saying your passport is ready for collection,

My wife has booked her seat and is coming on 11 march.

My Settlement visa appel has been withdrawn by the ECM on 28th Jan 2010 recieved a letter thatt appeal has been withdrawn by ECM I had a call from British embassy Islamabad to re-submit my passport with Tb certificate on 22 Feb 2010 .......Guy's any idea how long is goin to take to get visa stamp on my passport ???????

Its taking around 3 months these days to stamp a passport. If your lucky enough you might get it back after 10 days. 3 months in normal.

i have got my passport buddy after 3 months, my case was student allowed appeal,

just got the passport on 26 of feb, and the visa stamp date was 22 feb 2010.

Nice to hear that brother, best of luck. But as far i know u missed this session of study, so keeping that in mind if u got ur passport now, have they issued u a visa of more than the period u applied for, meaning from now till the starting of your next session they have issued u extra visa. If yes, did u submit defferal letter or new visa letter and will u be able to travel now or not more than 1 month before the next session.

Please pray for All of us, its been very tiring for me. Im few one of those people who even got ammendment letters during my appeal process which could have mean a delay (from filing of appeal to hearing) of four months in addition to 7 months it took for my appeal hearing but after email from consultant and myself the issue settled down after a delay of 1 month which is now proving costly as im about to miss this session of study for which the last date is 8th march. Brother can u clarify me a bit about the following:

1. The extension letter that you are saying u submitted to isb embassy, is this called defferal letter or extension letter and are the contents mentioned on this are same as mentioned on your initial visa/extension letter.

2. What should i ask my college for because after 8th march the next session in in july so will i need a new visa letter or an extension letter or a defferal letter(this is usually a document as i know mentioning the reason for the carrying forward of the admission i.e because of not receiving my passport on time my embassy and dont show the standard format of a visa letter) plz help brother.

One advice for you, if u are desperate to go to UK u can get admission to a pressional course offered by your college/university e.g english or numerical accuracy course and since u already have the visa u can travel according to date of this pressional course. you can try any of the above course if they are of any help to u because they are not expensive at all.

that was extension letter not the defferal letter. extension letter is something else, its like the colloge will give u the admission in the next semester. my college didnt send me the new visa letter, but only send me the extension letter in which my classes commence date is written and also written that student was unable to join the classes in the january session so now we are giving him admission in the may semester.
and my course name, roll no and other student information is written on that letter. but the basic n main thing was that college is giving him permission to join in may semester.

u only ask for extension letter or u may ask to send me the new visa letter of next semester. but college knows that what have to do, they will send u new a letter in which that will be clearly mentioned that college is giving him admission in the next semester, that is called an extension letter or either u may call it as a defferal letter


thanks alot buddy for advice, but again the prb is that, the short courses will also start in may, my college donst have any kind of courses which we can start in between, so i have to leave for in MAY or may be in the end of april.

well buddy, its an adivce for u, instead of waiting for the phone from embassy, u better ask ur college to send me the new extension letter, ask them to email u that extension letter, n then just print it out and fax it to embassy, here is the number of embassy, 0512012012. and write ur refrence number with pen on the top of the each page of ur extension letter if there will be more than one page. and u can find ur refrence number which is also known as fco number on ur decision letter and also on ur call letter. write that number with pen on the top of ur letter and fax them to embassy at this given number (0512012012) and also send them that letter at this email address. appeals.abudhabi@fco.gov.uk and visa.abudhabi@fco.gov.uk send that letter on these emails as well.

28 days max you should start sending emails and call them becoz ur one is not appeal its the adminsitrative review

thanks diablo_vortex, yeh it is administrative review but ECO asked me to send AIT-2 form.

I emailed them but did nt get any reply they even dont bother to reply. I phoned them as well nd the lady on phone just said ur application is still under process.

just wait buddy. it will takes around 6 months for ur hearing date, then around 2 months for decision, if u win the case then they will take around more than a month for call letter for the submission of passport n then they ll take more than 3 months for stamping the visa, so just chill n wait buddy

for the administrative review because if you have done an AIT form that means it is a full appeal procudure and etc, but if you have submitted the above form that that will mean it will be done within 28 days

hi my husband handed his passport in 4th febuary in islamabad we stil havent recieved his passport, does anyone know who i contact by email? i keep calling and no one answers so i was wondering abt mailing them and see wut they say
