Work permit dependent looking to do course

Post by david1955 » Fri Feb 26, 2010 10:56 am

Hi, i dont know whether this is the right section to put this post or not.
My friend is in uk for last 51/2 years and is planning to get married in november. His current visa status is tier 2 general and he is been on this visa for last 2 years. After marriage his wife will become his work permit depended. His wife wants to do her post graduation, but the only doubt we have for post graduation , will his wife be eligible for home tuition fees or the overseas fees ? which is 5 times more than the local. His fiance is currently in india and will be coming to uk in november after marriage.

They will most likely consider her to be a non-native. It would have been easier if your friend was a British citizen or if he had ILR. But, try and get a second opinion from the educational establishment which she decides to do her studies from.
