You'll know (and the rest of the world too) when UKBA makes a formal announcement in this regard.

well, ive "heard" that they are going to drop masters requirements and make sure that the minimum earning requirement is raised to 24k. Currently points are awarded for even 20 k salary.
Take this with pinch of the salt as its just rumours and the guy i heard it from was also unable to provide any facts.
Just keep close eye on the events in next few months and especially the speeches made by tories as they will be in power after elections

A word of caution -
These are *recommendations* made by
Migration Advisory Committee(MAC) and the govt. is under no obligation to accept these recommendations.
So, do not pin your hopes (blindly) on something that may/may not happen.

psw is fixed length visa. If someone wants to continue their stay in UK then they can switch to tier 1 or tier 2. Tier 1 requirements are going to change , it is suggested by the committee, sometime this year and that is what the original post was about. i.e changes in tier 1 rules

Thanks for clarifying, I was starting to get confused and panicking about future changes to PSW...although, in these times, you never know what the rules will be tomorrow.
