NI Number for my wife

Post by mr_pankaj » Tue Jan 10, 2006 6:52 pm

Hi Friends,

My wife got ILR along with me in March 2005 (mine was a straight 4 years W.P. case), but she is not working at the moment and is doing some exams to be able to work in U.K. (she is a qualified dentist from India).

Under these circumstance, I would like to know, how can she get a NI Number ?

thanks
Pan

Pan, any claim for Tax Credits likely in your house? Any children for example?

Otherwise unless and until your wife is at least seriously seeking employment she will need to wait until she is doing that.

Go to a job centre plus shop and tell them.. that she's looking for a job and you need a NINO (National Insurance Number). See if it helps.
