about address for the past 5yrs and few questions

Post by nao » Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:54 am

Hello everyone
Re : the subject
I have got a question.
I checked my old old paper, tenancy agreement etc....
I had no address last sept 2009 in the UK
my contract of my old flat finished end of AUG 2009, but I did not have time to find new place as I was busy and had to go on business trip in sept...
Anyway I knew I was gonna away about a month so I had decided to find new place when I came back.
During Sept 2009, I was only in the UK for one week(one day hotel and 6days B&B)

three questions:
1: when i came back to the UK during Sept 2009, as I am non-EU national I had to fill my landing card every time which I put my old address....is that problem?
and since I moved to a new places in Oct 2009, I had 4 x business trip and I might have put my old address on my landing card (maybe once(OCT) or twice(DEC).....(I am terrible to remember the address and post code etc...so I put my old address as It was easy.....I remember the last two was the current address as I finally managed to remember the post code and house number....
Please advise......should I mention it or just leave it?

2: should I mention the hotel and B&B during Sept?(total 6days)

considering my Q1&2

MY APP SHOULD BE LIKE THIS ?

Case 1
31 aug 2009 - 01 OCT 2009 my old address
01 OCT 2009 - current address ?
OR
Case 2
31 aug 2009 - 01 OCT 2009 Paris hotel(do i need to give full address of the hotel in France and hotel?) and BB address in the uk for 6days ?

It is confusing !! what should I do?
for me personally would like to put my old address and new address

3: someone last time kindly advised me the processing time is much quicker than the officially says, I want to make it smooth no return app or edit after submitting....is the average lead time to reach approval about 3-6weeks?

4: once I got speeding ticket, got fine about 60quid or something and minus 3 points , As I changed my driving license address, i chaecked my new counterpart paper, It does not state about the fine anymore....should I still mention?(I might have to ask DVLA if I had to...dont remember when...)

Thanks !!!

Please advise

1. No harm in mentioning it though I don't think it would make any difference and you should not stress over this.

2. Would be good - yes although again - I don't think it will make or break your application's timeline.

3. Current processing timelines seem to be around 4-6 weeks for straightforward cases. See this http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... sc&start=0

4. No need unless you were convicted in court.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!
