Tier 1 General processing time from Pakistan ?

Has anyone applied for the Tier 1 general visa from Pakistan in past couple of months or so and have any update ??

Please share here

I am waiting for my application since 7th January applied in Lahore visa application centre(all my documents are uk's based)

and if some could explain why UKBA do discrimination against Pakistanis ?? by giving them unnecessary delays and waisting their time

As you know currently abu dhabi is processing Pakistani visa application (non-settlement),which takes ages but if you apply in Abu dhabi,the same office processed the application max 15working days.How strange it is ?

well, i have been waiting for my pp since last 6.5 months. UK, USA, and AU alll are delaying visas for pakistanis. Every one is playing games with us and our crappy leaders are taking the money from them for it

You are not correct my dear. I applied from Islamaba in November 2009 and I got my Visa in less than 22 days.

Abudhabi or any other location is admin problem due to recent security.


There is no discrimination, I believe.So be patient you will get result.

@zmirza.. u r sooooooooooo lucky to get teh visa in 22 days. There are people who have got their HSMP (not tier 1) after 1.5 years, this month.
And most of us are waiting for about 6 months or so.

Its the descrimination and nothing else. There is no reason . Ppl from bangladesh are getting visa quickly than us.

So, dont make a statement brother, before knowing the reality.

I must say that you was lucky enough to apply in Nov,because in October issue was raised in local news papers regarding BH crappy work and discrimination against Pakistani applicant and British home secretary came to Pakistan to ensure that processing time Nov would be Max 20 working days! so i guess you went with the flow but the situation is same after Nov as it were an year go or so and i am completely agree with other poster,nothing to blame except over corrupted Gov but i must suggest Britain should be Britain and NOT the Great Britain because they are clearly discriminating against Pakistani applicant !!

I applied my UK tier-1 visa(all the UK based paper documents) from Karachi on 20/11/09 and got the reply on 03/03/10. so it means BHC Abu Dhabi currently taking a time of 3 months for the processing. 10 days more for the Gerrys delievery.

If the useful documents are from Pak then honestly speaking I dont know how much time they r take for the processing.

Concurrently, If ur relevent documents(UK based) are perfect with no loopholes . then u will get the visa easily. But in against they will give u the chance to do the 'Administrative review'. Again, u have 2 reply within 28 days (not 28 working days). The administrative review will get the 28 days for the processing time. In other circumstances, it will take more than 28 days. So, it depend upon Entry Clearance Officer, luck and paper documents as well.

If you go UK border agency website there is link for specific location processing time for specific visa . Set the visa tier-1(General) , Abu Dhabi u will get ur answer on the website.

Yes it is , BHC is intentionaly doing discrimination against Pakistanis. Because due to the security reasons and they know very well that Pakistanis r very good in Paper documents (make fake documents to make originals).

So, this is Pak not UK or UAE. In UK or UAE u will got the reply within 3 weeks. But when u touch the boundries of Pak u will get this staggering journey for the visa process.

That was the whole point of my original post (Same visa section,different application location,but huge difference in processing time)

Anyway thank you for mentioning your visa time scale it was really helpful for the people like me who have no clue about thier visa processing time here in Pakistan
It would be great if you please let us know your visa outcome too ?
