EU1 application, any legal status while you wait?

Hi guys,

As you know from my previous posts, my fiancé and I are applying for EU1 for him soon. He is an asylum seeker.

Just wondering, after we receive the acknowledgement letter, if they decide not to give him a temporary stamp 4 for 6 months, would they give him any other stamp so that he has permission to remain while the application is being processed?

Why I ask is that his application for asylum might be over and done with while our application (Eu1) is still in the DOJ for processing. So I just want to make sure he is allowed to stay here while our application is being processed.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Did he got repatriation letter from DOJ ?
what country he is from ?
and is the partner of the asylum seeker in full time employement/college etc etc ?

Hi zafarzafar, no he is still in the asylum process, has not had his interview yet but has a date for it.

He is from Nigeria.

I am in full time college.
