Tier 1 (General) - Advance Payment - Previous Salary

Post by sg2509 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 1:17 pm

Hi,

I am currently working in UK with Intra Company Transfer visa. And planning to apply for Tier-1 visa after 6-7 April 10 as I will be able to claim points for my bachelor degree.

I moved to UK in May-09 and intially my company has transfered some money as Advance payment before travel in my Indian bank account. Can I claim this amount as my previous earned salary.

In my UK payslip, they are deducting that same amount(Advance Payment) every month. The advance payment is no where mentioned in my Indian salary slip for the month of May-09. But I think my company can provide me written letter about this.

I would appreciate, if you can suggest on this. :)

Regards,

Bit tricky one! You should get an employer letter clearly stating the amount deposited and how it has been distributed!

Hi,

In my company policy document it has mentioned that ' Prior to departure from India you will be advanced your first month’s “Living Allowanceâ€

Yes. But no upliftment ratio can be applied, while you worked in UK

Possible, but needs more effort from your end to explain it in paper!

mind you.. this will make it hell lot of complex situation for caseworker to work out.

I mean the question you need to ask yourself is..... is it worth it to make caseworker's life that much miserable?

if you can show enough earning without uplifting etc.. then i personally suggest thats the safe way to progress...

but.. you know your case in and out and only you can decide whats best for you.

all the best

regards
