Order for possession and naturalization

Post by ariel » Tue Feb 07, 2006 6:08 pm

Hi All.
I have a query regarding application for naturalization.
About a year ago we've got order for possession to pay unpaid instalments on our mortgage. We have paid all the arrears after that.
My question is: was it an offence? Do we need to mention all the above information in paragraph 4.6 - Criminal Convictions: Civil Proceedings.
Thanks In Advance.

Hi, if you look at the PDF file and turn to page 22 of 52 you will see some guidance about Q4.6.

So I think, yes, there is a civil proceeding that needs to be mentioned. But the page to be completed relating to Q4.6 ... page 45 of 52 ... really does not give space for any civil proceedings to be disclosed. Maybe use the space at the bottom of page 46 of the PDF file?

Thanks John.
Just to be clear: you suggest to mention it as offence and then explain more in additional details. Is it correct?

Sorry, what I meant is this. The form AN(NEW) says :-
4.6 Do you have any criminal convictions in the UK or any other country (including traffic offences) or any civil judgements made against you?
And then it goes on to give space to enter details of convictions, but does not appear to have space to enter details of any civil judgements. So I think you need to enter details of the civil judgement into some "white space".

Is that any clearer?
