FLR(M)

Post by ILR_Applicant » Mon Mar 22, 2010 3:08 pm

I am presently on Tier1 and very soon eligible for ILR.

However my wife is on Tier1 dependent..and she is on this category jus from last 2.5 months... Now when I apply for my ILR she is not eligible for ILR as she did not complete 2 yrs.

Now should she be moving to FLR(M) or can continue on tier1 dependent(which is valid upto sep 2011).

Also if she has to move to FLR(M) how soon we should apply for her after getting my ILR

Thanks folks

Once you get your ILR, your wife Tier1 dependent status will become invalid.
She would need to apply for FLR(M)

In my opinion, I think you should apply for your wife as soon as you get ILR . It states "You must be in the UK to apply, and you must apply before your permission to stay in the UK expires."
Although her LTR is till Sep 2011, the visa status is not valid.
Any other comments welcome on this...
