Points for earnings

Post by paresh1 » Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:30 pm

Hello friends,

I want to make an application for HSMP. But I am not sure whether at present I can get points for earnings. I shall be grateful, if you please guide me on following issues:

My situation is as below:

I left my job in UK in first week of May 2005.

After that I returned to India and started working again from third week of July 2005.

Now, I am close to completing seven months in my current job and thinking of applying for HSMP.

My projected annual gross pay (before deducting the tax and provident fund) is GBP 9800.

As per the classification of countries, for India for receiving the points for earnings, the required gross salary is GBP 7500.

My queries are:
1. My earnings in India in last seven months is GBP 5700 (1800 Short of 7500). Hence if I apply now will they extrapolate the monthly salary to annual (After extrapolation it is GBP 9800) and grant me points.

2. Can I also add salary received in the UK within one year of date of application. I can add around GBP 2500 for every month. (Total will be 5000 + 5700 = GBP 10700)

3. What all earning proofs I should attach alongwith the application.

4. Should I wait till my earnings in India accumulate to GBP 7500.

Thanks

Salary in UK will be considered on UK scales as mentioned in the requirements., and they will not be added up to be considered for Indian salary. ie for five months they will rated on UK scale and other seven months, they will be rated on Indian scales. (check out the salary group for group of countries as given the list).

Will they calculate as per that, or they will just extrapolate my Indian salary for rest of the period (Though some duration in last one year I was not in any employment). If somebody has a different viewpoint, can I get their suggestions please before I get going.

paresh1 bhai,
without saral or form16 in hand . Forget about getting points in earning. Better get form16 first from your employer. I am not sure if u can get that before may 2006 for this finacial year
