I have a family friend who is happy to act as my referee he is british and he have known me more than 3 years my question is what he need to write in the application how he knew me? thanks

Hi John,

What colleagues of mine has to write in the box if they acts as my referee? They were my colleague in my previous job and I left that job 8 months ago. They know me more than 3 years. Both are managers and British Citizen. Can they act as my referees? What should they write? For example,

"I know the applicant more than 3 years and we worked in the same company. As far as I know, he is good person".

Can they write like above which is true? Can you please advise me?

I do not think that this is terribly important.

Suggest something like, based upon what you have posted ..... Ex Work Colleague ..... or something like that.
