ILR...it is not over yet

Post by karwan1 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 7:08 pm

Hi everyone,

I have a question, if someone get ILR under legacy case in 2010, and he was told that he could apply for naturilization in 2015 (after 5 years from now), then the new earned citizenship laws come to in effect next year in 2011, what will be the out come, is this mean that this person should wait till 2015 and then apply for probatinary citizenship (this is just extension to the current ILR with all current restriction to ILR), is this mean he would only allowed to apply for british citizenship in 2020? what do you think, all partiipations are welcomed.
