Student Loan..

Post by Willy2020 » Fri Apr 09, 2010 6:15 am

Just want to find out if student loan is a benefit that can affect my ilr application.

I am almost due to apply for my ilr set(m) and my spouse(British) enrolled in a full time education for a degree and receives student loan...

Just want to find out if this wouldn't affect my application. Thanks

Two points .... firstly your British spouse is entitled to claim whatever they are entitled to ... and secondly, student loans are not within the definition of Public Funds, as in para 6 of the Immigration Rules.
