Visa for Consulting Service - NonEU

Post by fundoovish » Mon Apr 12, 2010 11:30 am

We are a non EU based company (Registered as an Consulting entity in India), who are about to get a consulting project from a Swiss Company, because of our expertise in that domain.

My question is what type of Visa do we apply, for our consultants,

1. knowing that this is an gainful activity (we will be paid for it)
2. We dont have any branch offices anywhere else (to show as an intra- company transfer)
3. Business Visa would entitle us to stay for max 90 days in 180 days , which is not sifficient to carry out the activity

Type L Permit - it's a work permit but subject to ever-tightening quotas...

Thank you Wanderer. But then in this case , the Swiss Company that to file a WP requiest with the authorities to prove that they did not find any suitable person in Switzerland. This process takes a lot of time, and I doubt if they would do the same. Is there any other way out , like say a Business Visa

Business visa is 90 days (in 180) as you state above.

I don't know the answer but i do know work permits are being cut by 50% for 2010, I can't think of any way round this short of establishing a presence in CH or employing a local to do the actual work.

Have a nose around here:
