Can this be true?

Post by karwan1 » Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:26 pm

Hi Guys,

13 weeks ago I had an appointment at the POE in Cyodon. I ve applied for my ILR to be transfered to my new passport. Now I am still waiting for a UKborder agency's responce, they got my passport, my ILR paper and still nothing happened, now my question is, is it true that I have to wait at least for 6 months? is this true? your replies are well apperciated. Thanks

Why didn't you get your passport back at the same day when you had an appointment?
I thought that if someone is applying in person this would imply the same day decision/outcome...

My surname in my new passport didn't match my ILR document name (embassy added an additional name to the new passport due to old data), the UKborder asked a letter from embassy confirming my new surname as it is writtin in the new passport, which I did and this was confirmed 13 weeks ago, but still waiting...and waiting (paid £515 by the way).

Well, what to say?... Just another mad example of the premium service "quality" that UKBA provides. Perhaps, you should contact your caseworker if the confirmation letter contains any details. If not, I would suggest trying to call them up or making a written enquiry.
Other (general) options would be to contact Citizen Advice Bureau or your MP.

The MP said ther is nothing to do right now just to wait, if there is any problem then he might interfere, but as you suggested I 'LL contact them directly , may be tomorrow.
