The letter can be either handwritten or typed - this is a minor issue. Of more relevance is that it has supporting documentation pertaining to the sponsors immigration status in the UK (copy of their ppt bio data + LTR pages) and their ability to accomodate (mortgage deeds/ tenancy agreements + utility bills) as well as maintain you (bank statements).

Papafaith, All the best to you for your EC

Does one have to provide all this documentation for EC. While I still have the long wait to get my HSMP approval letter, but I would really like to know what all documentation will be required for EC.

Based on the reading I had done, on the message borad as well as the official site, my impression was that I need to provide a proof of accomodation organised, for which I was planning to book myself in some youth hostel and show a confirmation to that effect. As for proof of funds, I was planning to take my latest bank balance statemets with minimum available funds to the tune of 7000 Sterling Pounds.

Would this be enough or not as I do not intend to stay at friend's place.

Nod, what you have is fine, as far as you have proof of accommodation.
