Is there any one who got refused a tier 2 general permit the first time they applied but got it the second time they applied?

the answer to your query will not help you in any way.

IF you can fulfil the requirement that was the reason original app was declined, then yes you will be issued visa second time around. Otherwise no.

both ,new and old, app are assessed independently according to current rules in force. unless ofcourse you were given penalty say 1 year ban from your original app. in that case you must serve the ban before making new app. hope you see my point

Coolio. Thanks arsenal. I just wanted to know whether each application is considered independently. My first application is yet to be considered as I am still at the biometric stage. I am just sceptical about it because of the 40 hrs that was specified on my cos instead of 37.5 hours.

Tier 2 general application (payment by postal order)

Posted documents by royal mail on sat 3rd April
Documents delivered to HO on Wednesday 7th April
Received acknowledgement letter (dated 8th April) on Wednesday 14th April
Received biometrics letter on 16th April
